You can get them for regular price on amazon, but they keep running out. Use a site like http://www.azcut.com to tell you when they get more. Then, buy them fast before they’re gone!

Paul is right. Each ToysRUs is sitting on at least 200 pieces per store. I work for another toy company and I cover a few stores in my territory and they’re just sitting there in the back room on hold until Black Friday. Save your money paying three to four times its value on Ebay when you can get them for under ten bucks each until then. Doors open at 12AM Friday morning… Good luck!

If you are buying from Amazon.com, get them when they are in stock by Amazon.com and not third party sellers which are very expensive. An $8 Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster from Amazon in-stock, sells for $50 or higher from some of the Amazon 3rd party sellers.
Instead of sticking to my computer and refreshing amazon for the moment that the stocks arrive on Amazon, I found a tool that lets me monitor Amazon for the precise moment that they restock the item.
Using this monitoring tool works much better than the email notification programs that email you once an item is in stock – by the time you get the email and check on Amazon, the item is sold out again. With this tool, you monitor an item on Amazon in real-time, and as soon as Amazon restocks the item, you get an alarm. Then you jump in and scoop up the item (at Amazon’s retail price) before they sell out again. Kind of like jumping to the front of the line. It has worked really well for me.

The Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster as they are officially called are a nominee to become the best toy of 2009. There is a large demand (which will only go up before Christmas) and supply can not follow (or is artificially lowered?), so the prices are going through the roof .
If you want one now, your best bet is the stores on Amazon or eBay.
Expect to pay $30-40 (or more!).
Chunk (the white one) seems to be the cheapest though.

people are camping out to get them. I don’t expect it to change until after Christmas – Zhu Zhu Pets are THE hot toy this year. If you need them before Christmas, probably your only option will be to buy them online.
They ARE available on as Amazon, although the prices are higher than you’d expect in a store. This site lists the full range of Zhu Zhu Pets available on Amazon along with the going price:http://zhu-zhu-pets-hamster.blogspot.com…
It’s probably the best option for you if you really want to buy some Zhu Zhu Pets before Christmas
