LOL @ This. When they first came out, I bought one, but now they are going CARAZZZAY! Sorry for that. My sister bought me it from Birmingham, there was none in Kent. Check Toys R Us, Argos, or WIlkinsons. Trust me on the WIlkinsons part.

I think they’re really popular because they are electronic toys that act like the real thing. some kids who are allergic to fur but still want pets are interested in this particular toy because it is something they can play with. and, i think parents want it for their children because a zhu zhu pet won’t need feeding, bathing, or cleaning up after : )

They are really popular because they are similar to real hamsters and don’t make a mess, but they make weird sounds. People are also interested in robots and junk like that. Hamsters are really popular pets, to add to that. I had something similar to them once, and it was quite annoying. You should get him something else, the obsession will pass when people realize how annoying squeaky wheels get.

I think most toys have this it’s just that good guide is claiming that this particular toy supposedly has unsafe levels. I personally purchased almost the entire set for my son and not quite sure whether or not to give it to him. I am waiting to see what comes of this. If you go to the Zhu Zhu website they will tell you that the good guide is wrong but I am waiting to see some proof.

If YOU want to take care of it and have the inevitable talk about death, then go for it. I think a child should probably be in school before he/she gets a pet. A pet is a lot of work for someone so small.
If you want one for yourself, then go for it, no need to make excuses!!
