There are not hard and fast answers as to what the best time of day is for you. It depends on what your issues are. For example, “power and control” issues are connected to the solar plexus and, therefore, if you’re working on them then it’s best to find a time harmonious with your goal, namely the time when your solar plexus chakra is most acive. According to certain belief systems, certain times of day control certain chakras.
Try different times of day and go with whatever feels right to YOU!
Those early morning hours are usually incredibly quiet and still, very peaceful, which would allow you to focus more on your meditation or “empty” more easily. I don’t think, however, that there is a cookie cutter best time to meditate. When you are in a comfortable, positive environment without many distractions, and your mind/body are ready to wind down, that is the best time to meditate.
